How is physical beauty in the eye of the beholder?

I do not understand how it is true at all. There are certain guys/girls that appeal to the opposite sex. They can move to many locations and they will always be considered one of the best-looking people there. Sure, not everyone agrees on how beautiful they are but most people do.


If physical beauty is indeed relative, how come if I were to say Halle Berry or Kim Kardashian was ugly most people would assume I was jealous of their ';good looks'; yet if I were to say some like Whoopi Goldberg or Rosie O'Donnell was ugly NO BODY would say I was jealous of their looks. There is some sort of universal standard of beauty but it seems like most people do not want to accept it.How is physical beauty in the eye of the beholder?

Sometimes, though, when you meet someone great and really get to know them and you realize how beautiful they are on the inside, it shines out at you and you see them differently than you did when you first met them.How is physical beauty in the eye of the beholder?
You know, there are some people out there who can actually see the beauty of a whole person. You can have a pretty face with an ugly spirit. You can have beautiful skin but a rancid heart. Some people don't really care about the looks of a person. In fact, they would rather the person look plain so they don't have to worry about them attracting so much attention. That way they have their loved one all to themselves. That's why the famous saying is ';Beauty is in the eye of the beholder'; and not ';(Physical) beauty is in the eye of the beholder';. Everyone doesn't see the beauty in only the physical sense.
Well, you're thinking of it in a physical kind of way.


But some ugly people can look beautiful to only specific people. Personality can change everything.





There are small unique things that are very attractive to specific people, depending on many factors. And just typing this gets me thinking....How would a redhead look with hazel eyes....Huh..
A lot of it is marketing. When Hollywood tells people that some movie star is good looking long enough most people just accept it. Hollywood has something to sell to the public.





I think that a lot of movie stars and singers are plain looking, but I choose to think for myself rather than believe in marketing and you can too if you want to.
