The one thing that i think makes a big difference in a girl's appearance is groomed eyebrows. I get my eyebrows waxed about every 3 weeks. This really helps to ';open up'; the eyes and to achieve a polished look.
Also, try a little black eyeliner. Guys like striking eyes.
