Is beauty objective or in the eyes of the beholder?

Having an argument with a friend. He says beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I say most people are attracted to the same 10-15% of the population.Is beauty objective or in the eyes of the beholder?
Both of you are right honestly. There are some people you would be stupid to disagree to say that she isn't attractive. There are some people though that find certain people attractive though and a lot of people would disagreee (which is the eye of the beholder thing).Is beauty objective or in the eyes of the beholder?
The answer is in the eye of the beholder. When you say something is beautiful, that is your opinion. Who is to say that everyone else in the world has the same opinion? Some things can be said to have a beauty that is objective, such as a sea side sunset before a storm, or a distant galaxy. But there are some minds that will find even those items not beautiful. So, in reality, they are nothing has an objective beauty.
Inner beauty is objective. But there is a distinction between BAD behavior, and GOOD behavior.

Outer beauty is subjective, in the eyes of the beholder.
It can actually be both at the same time. You and your friend could agree a celebrity is attractive, but he might also find a sweet girl attractive, who you don't think is.
I think that most people find attraction to the same type of look a person may have. In some cases beauty is universal, in some, not.
I believe beauty is in the eye of the beholder!!!! but sometimes its a unanimous vote on someone being unattractive ! lol because if people were attracted to the same 10-15 then the ugly ppl would be lonely and wouldnt have anyone!
Part of it is on some general physical features. But remaining percent carry more weight for the decision of beauty. Just like, you can not judge the book by cover only.;
There's a mathematical equation for beauty. Something to do with proportion ratios and all that jazz. Look it up, cause I'm just too lazy =.=
I would go with in the eye of the beholder, but people can have similar interests which could lead to the 10-15% being the same.
No, it is subjective. couple of decades ago, bigger women are consider attractive because of wealth and healthiness.
in the eye of the beholder...different ppl find different attributes attractive
you're wrong. people form their own ideas about what they think is attractive. I myself am not attracted to the typical hottie. It's too conventional.
it really just depends on the person....
