It is an optical phenomenon. Firstly, there is no way to see the real beauty because there is no lamp that can render the true colour of the object that one is looking at. Secondly two beholders cannot view the same object in the same colour because of the diversity of the structure of the eyes of the two beholders. So it is quite natural that one can see an object to be beautiful and the other would see it as not so beautiful, though not utterly ugly. My personal optics has taken a right turn and I behold all women to be equally very beautiful without exception.
